Hello, my name is Ann-Sofie. I am an illustrator and literary scholar located in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Through pencil strokes and muted colors I create Illustrations filled with nostalic warmth and childish imagination. I am interested in our connections to home and nature, the charm of small moments, always seeking to capture the sense of harmony and play as experienced in our childhood days.

My little atelier

I usually work in a mixture of pencil, gouache, watercolor, colored pencils and digital painting (I use Photoshop and Procreate). I like to modify my style, techniques and tools based on what is needed or what style suits best with a specific idea or project I am working on. There is nothing better than the chance of experimenting!
When not drawing I can be found playing with my cat in our garden, exploring mossy forests and leafing through old books. I like to embroider snuggled under knitted blankets while listening to my favorite music.

I have a Bachelor  of Arts degree in Comparative Literature with a profile in Art History and Visual Arts. In 2018 I earned  a Master of Arts degree in Comparative  Literature and Art History from University of Copenhagen. This gives me an eye for the deeper layers in stories and the ability to translate them into something visual.
In 2017 I won the Riverboat Jazz Festival Poster competition.
I am currently working on a childrens book and I have just opened my own online shop!
