In 2017 I participated in the annual Riverboat Jazz Festival Poster competition (for Summer 2018). I won both 1st and 2nd place in the contest with an award prize of 10.000 dkr.
Since it is a festival focused on classic jazz I wanted to capture that very special melancholic feeling classic jazz have (in my opinion). When I think of classic jazz I think of movement and rhythms, vintage clothing, blue notes and melancholic stories.

This poster is about the moods and colours I think of when listening to classic jazz music. Tools used: Photoshop CC, Wacom tablet.
