Riverboat Jazz Festival 2018 by Ann-Sofie Vejs
In 2017 I participated in the annual Riverboat Jazz Festival Poster competition (for Summer 2018). I won both 1st and 2nd place in the contest with an award prize of 10.000 dkr.
Since it is a festival focused on classic jazz I wanted to capture that very special melancholic feeling classic jazz have (in my opinion). When I think of classic jazz I think of movement and rhythms, vintage clothing, blue notes and melancholic stories.

The Riverboat Jazz Festival is one of the largest festivals of classical jazz in Northern Europe with many bands, soloists and concerts in the town centre of Silkeborg. Every year a new poster is chosen to represent the festival. The Festival will take place June 27th. - July 1st. 2018 in Silkeborg, Denmark.
